Ce projet vise \u00e0 redonner vie au site ayant abrit\u00e9 la station radio de transmission allemande aux temps coloniaux \u00e0 Kamina, une localit\u00e9 togolaise, situ\u00e9 \u00e0 7 kilom\u00e8tres d\u2019Atakpam\u00e9.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>LA R\u00c9DACTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pour la petite histoire, Kamina est le site de l\u2019ancienne base militaire allemande. Entre 1911 et 1914, les Allemands y ont construit un centre \u00e9metteur de t\u00e9l\u00e9graphie sans fil. Cette station de radio transcontinentale servait de lien pour les colonies allemandes entre elles et pour \u00e9tablir une liaison entre ces colonies et la m\u00e9tropole allemande. Il faut dire que la construction de la station a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 Ani\u00e9, village situ\u00e9 \u00e0 30 km au nord d\u2019Atakpam\u00e9. Mais les travaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 arr\u00eat\u00e9s \u00e0 cause d\u2019un cyclone qui a d\u00e9vast\u00e9 le chantier et finalement le choix est port\u00e9 sur Kamina, un autre endroit moins expos\u00e9 situ\u00e9 \u00e0 quelques kilom\u00e8tres toujours d\u2019Atakpame. La premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape des travaux a consist\u00e9 en la construction de 3 antennes en acier de 75 m de hauteur \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 1912, ensuite 6 autres antennes en acier ont \u00e9t\u00e9 dress\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>A c\u00f4t\u00e9 du b\u00e2timent central d\u2019\u00e9mission, on avait construit aussi une centrale \u00e9lectrique avec deux machines \u00e0 vapeur (d\u2019une puissance de 1000 CV), un collecteur hydraulique pour le remplissage des chaudi\u00e8res, un appareil pour l\u2019\u00e9puration de l\u2019eau, la tour de refroidissement, le r\u00e9seau des puits et des pompes et des logements en dur pour le personnel. Toute la station de Kamina a \u00e9t\u00e9 construite sur une surface d\u2019environ 4 km2. La puissance d\u2019\u00e9mission \u00e9tait de 100 KW, la longueur d\u2019onde \u00e9tait 3500 m \u00e09500 m pour l\u2019\u00e9mission et 200 m \u00e0 14000 m pour la r\u00e9ception. L\u2019\u00e9metteur \u00e9tait directement reli\u00e9 d\u00e8s le 1er avril 1914 \u00e0 la station radio de Nauen, pr\u00e8s de Berlin, \u00e0 une distance de 5200 km, et au sud avec la station de Windhoek, en actuelle Namibie, et bien s\u00fbr avec les navires allemands dans l\u2019Atlantique. La station de t\u00e9l\u00e9graphie sans fil \u00e9tait encore en construction quand la premi\u00e8re guerre mondiale a \u00e9clat\u00e9. Les Allemands, attaqu\u00e9s par les Fran\u00e7ais venant de l\u2019est et par les Anglais du c\u00f4t\u00e9 ouest, ont fait sauter la station de Kamina dans la nuit du 24 au 25 ao\u00fbt 1914 avant de capituler le 27 ao\u00fbt 1914.<br \/>\nLes ruines du centre \u00e9metteur de l\u2019\u00e9poque coloniale allemande se trouvent encore aujourd\u2019hui \u00e0 Kamina.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Faire renaitre Kamina de ses cendres<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Tel le ph\u0153nix, des artistes du monde veulent faire renaitre Kamina de ses cendres. Le projet KARP initi\u00e9 par Samuel Olou r\u00e9pond parfaitement au besoin de faire conna\u00eetre au monde l\u2019histoire, combien rocambolesque, de cette petite localit\u00e9 du Togo. Ce projet comme son nom l\u2019indique, plateforme de r\u00e9sidence pour artistes et chercheurs, vise \u00e0 transformer cet ancien centre d\u2019\u00e9metteur allemand en un site touristique et de recherches artistiques et historiques et o\u00f9 les artistes et historiens de tout bord pourront faire r\u00e9sidence. C\u2019est un projet planifi\u00e9 sur 10 ans et qui est toujours dans sa phase d\u2019exp\u00e9rimentation. C\u2019est ainsi que depuis l\u2019ann\u00e9e pass\u00e9, les artistes plasticiens du monde sont sur le site pour lui redonner vie. En 2016, le projet a connu la participation des artistes tels que Cassius Fadlabi de Soudan\/Norv\u00e8ge, Jos\u00e9e Toffah du Togo, Lars Cuzner du Canada\/Suisse, Victor Mutekelesha de la Zambie, Constantin Alihonou du Togo\/B\u00e9nin, Anders Juan Milanes Benito du Cuba, Rebecca Odjo-Favi du B\u00e9nin, Claver Agbo du Ghana et Samuel Olou du Togo. Cette deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9dition (\u00e9dition 2017) a enregistr\u00e9 la participation effective 12 artsites de diff\u00e9rentes nationalit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Il s\u2019agit de Segbaya Henri Kokou, Jules Cesar Dagoh, Rougoualya Yasmine Y\u00e9rima et Adot\u00e9vi Ekue, tous du Togo ; Rebecca Odjo-Favi et Alofan G. Alihossi du B\u00e9nin, Ray Claver Agbo du Ghana, Astrid Runde Saxegaard de la Norv\u00e8ge, Shwan Dler Qaradaki du Kurdistan\/Norv\u00e8ge, Constantin Alihonou du Togo\/B\u00e9nin, Isaac Kojo Biney Aggrey du Ghana et Samuel Olou du Togo\/Norv\u00e8ge.<br \/>\nC\u2019est un projet d\u2019envergure internationale qui, une fois dans sa phase de r\u00e9alisation, se veut d\u2019\u00eatre l\u2019apanage des artistes, chercheurs et historiens du monde entier. Car pour les promoteurs, depuis Kamina, le monde doit avoir une autre perception de l\u2019Afrique d\u2019une fa\u00e7on g\u00e9n\u00e9rale.<br \/>\nLa valorisation de Kamina, \u00e9pop\u00e9e des temps coloniaux, est une fa\u00e7on pour les initiateurs du projet de conserver l\u2019histoire et de la faire connaitre aux g\u00e9n\u00e9rations futures.
