Depuis le 30 novembre 2024, le B\u00e9nin est officiellement pass\u00e9 de la num\u00e9rotation t\u00e9l\u00e9phonique \u00e0 8 chiffres \u00e0 celle \u00e0 10 chiffres. Afin de sensibiliser les populations \u00e0 cette transition cruciale, l’Autorit\u00e9 de R\u00e9gulation des Communications \u00c9lectroniques et de la Poste (ARCEP) multiplie les actions de proximit\u00e9. Le samedi 21 d\u00e9cembre 2024, les habitants de Badjoud\u00e8, dans la commune de Ouak\u00e9, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 outilsl\u00e9s pour s’adapter aux nouvelles directives avant l’\u00e9ch\u00e9ance fix\u00e9e au 31 d\u00e9cembre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette migration vise \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 l’expansion rapide du march\u00e9 des t\u00e9l\u00e9communications, \u00e0 anticiper les besoins en connectivit\u00e9, et \u00e0 moderniser les infrastructures num\u00e9riques du pays. Flavien Bachabi, pr\u00e9sident de l’ARCEP, a soulign\u00e9 l’importance des campagnes de sensibilisation : \u00ab Nous formons des formateurs pour garantir que toutes les populations soient pr\u00eates avant l’\u00e9ch\u00e9ance. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Une transition facilit\u00e9e par l’application Covenum.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n


Pour accompagner cette transformation, l’ARCEP a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 l’application Covenum , un outil essentiel qui permet de convertir automatiquement les num\u00e9ros de t\u00e9l\u00e9phone de 8 \u00e0 10 chiffres. Ce dispositif vise \u00e0 \u00e9viter toute interruption des appels, messages ou transactions financi\u00e8res.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Y\u00e9tondji Houeyetongnon, Directeur adjoint de la r\u00e9gulation \u00e0 l’ARCEP, a rappel\u00e9 les deux actions indispensables \u00e0 effectuer avant le 31 d\u00e9cembre :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ajouter \u00ab\u00a001\u00a0\u00bb devant les num\u00e9ros existants.
Utiliser Covenum pour convertir les r\u00e9pertoires t\u00e9l\u00e9phoniques.
Cette solution pragmatique et s\u00e9curis\u00e9e est disponible en t\u00e9l\u00e9chargement pour garantir une transition fluide et sans d\u00e9sagr\u00e9ments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
