La Haute Autorit\u00e9 de l’audiovisuel et de la communication (HAAC) du B\u00e9nin franchit une \u00e9tape d\u00e9cisive dans sa modernisation. Son pr\u00e9sident, \u00c9douard Loko, a saisi la Cour constitutionnelle pour v\u00e9rifier la conformit\u00e9 du nouveau r\u00e8glement int\u00e9rieur aux dispositions de la Constitution. Ce texte, destin\u00e9 \u00e0 remplacer celui en vigueur depuis 2005, devrait bient\u00f4t entrer en application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adopt\u00e9 par les conseillers de l\u2019institution, le nouveau r\u00e8glement vise \u00e0 aligner les pratiques de la HAAC sur les \u00e9volutions l\u00e9gislatives r\u00e9centes, notamment celles introduites par la loi organique de 2022. \u00ab\u00a0Le r\u00e8glement actuel, datant de 2005, est devenu obsol\u00e8te et ne r\u00e9pond plus aux exigences de la nouvelle l\u00e9gislation\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 \u00c9douard Loko en septembre dernier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La r\u00e9vision, annonc\u00e9e depuis plusieurs mois, est per\u00e7ue comme une avanc\u00e9e majeure pour l\u2019institution, charg\u00e9e de r\u00e9guler les m\u00e9dias au B\u00e9nin. Selon le quotidien Le Matinal<\/em>, le texte final pourrait \u00eatre rendu public d\u2019ici janvier 2025, une perspective encourageante pour les membres du conseil. Le contr\u00f4le de constitutionnalit\u00e9 par la Cour constitutionnelle, constitue une \u00e9tape importante pour garantir la l\u00e9galit\u00e9 et l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 des nouvelles dispositions qui guideront les travaux de la HAAC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
