La sc\u00e8ne horrible, est survenue dans la zone gouvernementale locale de Damboa, a \u00e9galement vu l\u2019incendie de v\u00e9hicules scolaires et militaires.<br>Un t\u00e9moin oculaire a d\u00e9crit l\u2019op\u00e9ration comme \u00e9tant \u00ab\u00a0bien coordonn\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb, la qualifiant de \u00ab\u00a0mission de vengeance\u00a0\u00bb. Cette attaque s\u2019inscrit dans un contexte de crise s\u00e9curitaire persistante au Nigeria, o\u00f9 les autorit\u00e9s doivent composer avec une insurrection de longue date dans le nord-est et une recrudescence des banditismes et enl\u00e8vements dans le nord-ouest.<br>Les donn\u00e9es du Bureau national des statistiques du Nigeria r\u00e9v\u00e8lent l\u2019ampleur de cette instabilit\u00e9 : entre mai 2023 et avril 2024, pr\u00e8s de 615 000 d\u00e9c\u00e8s li\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019ins\u00e9curit\u00e9 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9s \u00e0 travers le pays.
