Les pays du Sahel, le Niger, le Burkina Faso et le Mali, ont officiellement annonc\u00e9 la cr\u00e9ation d’une force militaire conjointe compos\u00e9e de 5 000 soldats dans le cadre de l’Alliance des \u00c9tats du Sahel (AES). Ce pacte de d\u00e9fense mutuelle, sign\u00e9 en 2023, marque une \u00e9tape majeure dans la coop\u00e9ration r\u00e9gionale en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et de lutte contre le terrorisme. Lors d\u2019une d\u00e9claration officielle, le ministre nig\u00e9rien de la D\u00e9fense, Salifou Mody, a pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 que cette arm\u00e9e conjointe sera dot\u00e9e de moyens autonomes, comprenant des \u00e9quipements a\u00e9riens, des ressources en renseignement et des infrastructures logistiques adapt\u00e9es. \u00ab\u00a0La force op\u00e8rera sur l\u2019ensemble du territoire des trois pays pour garantir la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et la stabilit\u00e9 dans la r\u00e9gion\u00a0\u00bb, a-t-il ajout\u00e9. Cette initiative intervient dans un contexte marqu\u00e9 par une intensification des activit\u00e9s des groupes arm\u00e9s terroristes dans le Sahel. Le Niger, le Burkina Faso et le Mali, confront\u00e9s \u00e0 des d\u00e9fis communs, ont choisi d\u2019unir leurs forces pour renforcer leur souverainet\u00e9 et leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger leurs populations. Cr\u00e9\u00e9e pour contrer les menaces transfrontali\u00e8res, l’AES repose sur des principes de solidarit\u00e9 et de partage des ressources. Cette coop\u00e9ration militaire vise non seulement \u00e0 combattre le terrorisme, mais aussi \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre aux crises humanitaires exacerb\u00e9es par l\u2019instabilit\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
