Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo; un projet d\u2019envergure visant \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper la p\u00eache traditionnelle, et moderniser le secteur halieutique. La d\u00e9cision a \u00e9t\u00e9 prise en conseil des ministres de ce mercredi 05 f\u00e9vrier 2025.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u2019un co\u00fbt total de 72 millions d\u2019euros (77,9 millions de dollars, ce projet est financ\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un accord sign\u00e9 avec Joris Jurriens, ambassadeur du Royaume des Pays-Bas. Il pr\u00e9voit l\u2019am\u00e9nagement d\u2019une zone de commercialisation et de transformation des produits de la p\u00eache sur un site de 8 hectares, enti\u00e8rement d\u00e9di\u00e9 aux activit\u00e9s de p\u00eache artisanale et semi-industrielle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selon le conseil des ministres, les personnes r\u00e9sidant dans la zone concern\u00e9e par les travaux seront relog\u00e9es et indemnis\u00e9es pour faciliter leur d\u00e9part et permettre l\u2019avancement du chantier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le d\u00e9marrage des travaux est imminent et s\u2019\u00e9tendra sur une p\u00e9riode de 18 mois. Le chantier est pr\u00e9vu pour \u00eatre lib\u00e9r\u00e9 en d\u00e9cembre 2025. L\u2019objectif est de renforcer la comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9 du secteur de la p\u00eache et d\u2019am\u00e9liorer les infrastructures existantes afin de stimuler la production halieutique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u2019apr\u00e8s les donn\u00e9es de la Direction de la statistique agricole (DSA), la production halieutique du B\u00e9nin s\u2019\u00e9levait \u00e0 77 000 tonnes en 2021, dont plus de 37 500 tonnes issues de la p\u00eache maritime artisanale.
