Le lundi 7 avril 2025, une Convention d\u2019objectifs 2025-2027 a \u00e9t\u00e9 sign\u00e9e entre le gouvernement b\u00e9ninois, \u00e0 travers l\u2019Agence de D\u00e9veloppement des Arts et de la Culture (ADAC), et le prestigieux Groupe Montreux Comedy. Cette alliance marque le lancement officiel du Cotonou Comedy Festival, dont la premi\u00e8re \u00e9dition est pr\u00e9vue pour d\u00e9cembre 2025.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce festival international d\u2019humour ambitionne de faire de Cotonou une v\u00e9ritable capitale africaine du rire. Il s\u2019inscrit dans une dynamique de structuration de la fili\u00e8re humoristique b\u00e9ninoise, avec pour objectifs de former et r\u00e9v\u00e9ler des talents locaux, de les propulser sur la sc\u00e8ne internationale, tout en renfor\u00e7ant l\u2019attractivit\u00e9 culturelle et touristique du pays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Soutenu par Jean-Michel Abimbola, ministre du Tourisme, de la Culture et des Arts, le projet entend positionner le B\u00e9nin comme un acteur majeur des industries culturelles et cr\u00e9atives (ICC) en Afrique. Le Cotonou Comedy Festival se veut ainsi un tremplin pour la jeunesse, un incubateur de talents et une vitrine panafricaine de l\u2019humour francophone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gr\u00e9goire Furrer, fondateur du Montreux Comedy, William Codjo, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l\u2019ADAC, et le ministre Abimbola ont salu\u00e9 une coop\u00e9ration strat\u00e9gique, \u00ab au service d\u2019un humour enracin\u00e9, audacieux et universel \u00bb. Pour eux, le B\u00e9nin ne se contente plus de faire rire : il exporte d\u00e9sormais une identit\u00e9 humoristique singuli\u00e8re, porteuse de coh\u00e9sion sociale, de paix et de rayonnement mondial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le pays affirme sa volont\u00e9 de faire de la culture un levier de d\u00e9veloppement durable, en inscrivant l\u2019humour dans sa diplomatie d\u2019influence, ou soft power.
