Quatre suspects, dont trois \u00e9trangers, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 arr\u00eat\u00e9s pour trafic ill\u00e9gal de fourmis reines, une esp\u00e8ce indig\u00e8ne d\u2019Afrique de l\u2019Est tr\u00e8s pris\u00e9e sur le march\u00e9 des animaux de compagnie exotiques.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les pr\u00e9venus ont comparu ce mardi 15 avril 2025 devant un tribunal de Nairobi, o\u00f9 ils ont plaid\u00e9 coupable. Leur arrestation a eu lieu dans le cadre d\u2019une op\u00e9ration men\u00e9e par les services k\u00e9nyans de protection de la faune et de la flore, qui qualifient cette proc\u00e9dure de \u00ab proc\u00e8s historique \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selon les autorit\u00e9s, les quatre hommes \u00e9taient en possession de milliers d\u2019\u00e9prouvettes contenant des fourmis reines vivantes, soigneusement emball\u00e9es dans du coton. Ces insectes proviendraient du Kenya, de Tanzanie et d\u2019\u00c9thiopie. L\u2019objectif pr\u00e9sum\u00e9 \u00e9tait de les exporter ill\u00e9galement vers des march\u00e9s internationaux, o\u00f9 ces esp\u00e8ces se vendent \u00e0 prix d\u2019or.
