Le 9 mai 2025, le gouvernement camerounais a sign\u00e9 une convention avec les Nations Unies, par l\u2019entremise de l\u2019organe \u00e9lectoral \u00c9lections Cameroon (\u00c9lecam). Ce partenariat vise \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la transparence, la cr\u00e9dibilit\u00e9 et l\u2019inclusivit\u00e9 du scrutin pr\u00e9sidentiel pr\u00e9vu en octobre 2025.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais cette initiative, salu\u00e9e par certains comme un pas vers des \u00e9lections plus d\u00e9mocratiques, est fermement contest\u00e9e par le Mouvement pour la Renaissance du Cameroun (MRC), principal parti d\u2019opposition. Dans un communiqu\u00e9 acerbe, le MRC affirme n\u2019avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 ni consult\u00e9 ni inform\u00e9 de la signature de cette convention, qu\u2019il dit avoir apprise \u00ab par les r\u00e9seaux sociaux \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le parti de Maurice Kamto fustige une d\u00e9marche jug\u00e9e opaque et unilat\u00e9rale. Il d\u00e9nonce \u00ab une man\u0153uvre d\u2019exclusion \u00bb de la part d\u2019\u00c9lecam, et rappelle que \u00ab les partis politiques sont les acteurs centraux du processus \u00e9lectoral \u00bb. Le contenu m\u00eame de la convention reste, selon le MRC, inconnu de l\u2019opposition, alimentant davantage les soup\u00e7ons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce nouvel \u00e9pisode intervient dans un climat pr\u00e9\u00e9lectoral tendu, marqu\u00e9 par des doutes persistants sur la fiabilit\u00e9 du fichier \u00e9lectoral. Le MRC r\u00e9clame depuis plusieurs mois un audit ind\u00e9pendant du fichier et la publication de la liste \u00e9lectorale nationale. Ces demandes, rest\u00e9es sans r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 ce jour, auraient \u00e9t\u00e9 transmises aux Nations Unies, selon le parti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alors que l\u2019\u00e9ch\u00e9ance pr\u00e9sidentielle approche, l\u2019exclusion, r\u00e9elle ou per\u00e7ue des forces politiques de l\u2019opposition pourrait affecter la l\u00e9gitimit\u00e9 du scrutin.
