Celles-ci pourraient prolonger ind\u00e9finiment son maintien au pouvoir. Alors, l&rsquo;opposition r\u00e9clame sa d\u00e9mission.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plusieurs dizaines de manifestants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 arr\u00eat\u00e9s \u00e0 Lom\u00e9, la capitale, lors des rassemblements organis\u00e9s le week-end dernier. La moiti\u00e9 d\u2019entre eux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 rel\u00e2ch\u00e9s lundi dernier. Environ 25 personnes restent d\u00e9tenues, selon une organisation locale de d\u00e9fense des droits humains, qui demande leur lib\u00e9ration imm\u00e9diate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les violences polici\u00e8res sont \u00e9galement d\u00e9nonc\u00e9es. \u00ab\u00a0Plusieurs personnes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 battues lors de leur arrestation\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Aim\u00e9 Adi, directeur d\u2019Amnesty International Togo, \u00e0 l\u2019Associated Press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depuis mai, Faure Gnassingb\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 intronis\u00e9 pr\u00e9sident du Conseil des ministres, un poste sans limitation de mandat, \u00e9lu par le Parlement. L\u2019opposition d\u00e9nonce une d\u00e9rive autoritaire. \u00ab\u00a0Un coup d\u2019\u00c9tat constitutionnel\u00a0\u00bb, selon les mots des partis contestataires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 l\u2019interdiction des manifestations depuis 2022, les protestations r\u00e9apparaissent. Elles sont encourag\u00e9es par une coalition citoyenne baptis\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0Touche pas \u00e0 ma Constitution\u00a0\u00bb, qui r\u00e9clame la fin du r\u00e9gime en place. \u00ab\u00a0Apr\u00e8s 20 ans de pouvoir absolu, ce r\u00e9gime ne peut plus rien offrir au peuple\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 l\u2019organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Face \u00e0 ces critiques, le procureur Talaka Mawama a justifi\u00e9 les arrestations.
