Selon lui, une telle mesure compromettrait des accords strat\u00e9giques en cours, notamment dans les secteurs des m\u00e9taux rares et de l\u2019\u00e9nergie.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Nigeria exploite 17 \u00e9l\u00e9ments strat\u00e9giques, dont le lithium, le samarium et le n\u00e9odyme. En 2024, le pays a produit 13 000 tonnes m\u00e9triques de ces m\u00e9taux, soit une augmentation de 80 % par rapport \u00e0 l\u2019ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente. Il est d\u00e9sormais le cinqui\u00e8me producteur mondial et le premier en Afrique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces mat\u00e9riaux sont essentiels aux cha\u00eenes d\u2019approvisionnement am\u00e9ricaines, notamment dans les domaines de la d\u00e9fense, des v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques, de l\u2019\u00e9lectronique et des \u00e9nergies renouvelables. \u00ab Se couper de notre march\u00e9 reviendrait \u00e0 se priver d\u2019un atout g\u00e9opolitique majeur \u00bb, a averti le ministre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une note interne du gouvernement am\u00e9ricain, r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9e le week-end dernier, recommande d\u2019interdire l\u2019entr\u00e9e sur le territoire \u00e0 des ressortissants de pays \u00ab ne respectant pas une s\u00e9rie de crit\u00e8res s\u00e9curitaires et migratoires \u00bb. Vingt pays, principalement situ\u00e9s en Afrique et au Moyen-Orient, sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 concern\u00e9s.
