Pilot\u00e9e par l\u2019ONG B\u00e9nin Villes Propres (BVP) avec l\u2019appui de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de gestion des d\u00e9chets et de la salubrit\u00e9 (SGDS-SA) et du minist\u00e8re du Cadre de vie, l\u2019initiative vise \u00e0 transformer les neuf arrondissements de la commune en mod\u00e8les de salubrit\u00e9, de civisme et de bien-\u00eatre collectif. Les trois meilleurs seront distingu\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019issue d\u2019\u00e9valuations programm\u00e9es les 28 juin, 12 et 26 juillet, puis le 9 ao\u00fbt.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab La propret\u00e9, c\u2019est d\u2019abord notre affaire \u00bb, a martel\u00e9 le maire Angelo Ahouandjinou en lan\u00e7ant officiellement la comp\u00e9tition. Rappelant que Cotonou a \u00e9t\u00e9 sacr\u00e9e \u00ab ville la plus propre d\u2019Afrique de l\u2019Ouest \u00bb, l\u2019\u00e9dile fixe la barre haut : \u00ab Depuis cette annonce, Abomey-Calavi se pr\u00e9pare \u00e0 devenir, elle aussi, l\u2019une des villes les plus propres du continent, pourquoi pas du monde. \u00bb le Maire de la ville a exhort\u00e9 chefs d\u2019arrondissement et leaders communautaires \u00e0 \u00ab montrer ce dont nous sommes capables \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"908\" src=\"https:\/\/lepotentiel.bj\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG-20250623-WA0054-1-1024x908.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-70225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lepotentiel.bj\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG-20250623-WA0054-1-1024x908.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/lepotentiel.bj\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG-20250623-WA0054-1-300x266.jpg 300w, https:\/\/lepotentiel.bj\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG-20250623-WA0054-1-768x681.jpg 768w, https:\/\/lepotentiel.bj\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG-20250623-WA0054-1.jpg 1056w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Selon Kadirath-Lah Ahlin, coordonnatrice de BVP, le concours mobilisera chaque arrondissement autour de \u00ab trois enjeux majeurs : la salubrit\u00e9, la lib\u00e9ration des espaces publics et la lutte contre la pollution sonore \u00bb. Des \u00e9quipes mixtes BVP-SGDS-mairie visiteront les sites identifi\u00e9s comme critiques et noteront les actions durables mises en place. Crit\u00e8res : propret\u00e9 des rues, gestion des d\u00e9chets, sensibilisation citoyenne et maintien des espaces verts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour Jean-Baptiste Egueh, chef de la division communication de la SGDS, l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement est \u00ab bien plus qu\u2019une comp\u00e9tition : c\u2019est un appel \u00e0 la conscience collective \u00bb. La SGDS fournira camions, bennes et expertise logistique. \u00ab La propret\u00e9 d\u2019une ville ne d\u00e9pend pas seulement des infrastructures, mais de l\u2019engagement quotidien de chacun : autorit\u00e9s, citoyens, entreprises et soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile \u00bb, souligne-t-il.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le concours, qui s\u2019\u00e9tendra sur six semaines, s\u2019inspire des pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes \u00e9ditions \u00ab Ouidah Ville Propre \u00bb (2021) et \u00ab Cotonou Ville Propre \u00bb (2024). Outre les descentes d\u2019\u00e9valuation, des op\u00e9rations de balayage communautaire et de plantation d\u2019arbres ponctueront la p\u00e9riode. Les trois laur\u00e9ats recevront mat\u00e9riel d\u2019entretien, formations en gestion des d\u00e9chets et financements pour des micro-projets verts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le maire a rappel\u00e9 que la commune a lanc\u00e9, il y a quelques jours, le programme \u00ab Abomey-Calavi Ville Verte \u00bb. Slogan : \u00ab V\u00e9g\u00e9talise ta ville \u00bb. Chaque habitant est invit\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer un plant \u00e0 la mairie pour le replanter chez lui. \u00ab Nous serons verts et propres \u00bb, promet Angelo Ahouandjinou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abomey-Calavi fait face \u00e0 une urbanisation rapide et \u00e0 des d\u00e9fis environnementaux aigus : d\u00e9chets m\u00e9nagers mal collect\u00e9s, occupation anarchique des trottoirs, pollution sonore des bars et lieux de culte. Si diverses campagnes de nettoyage ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9es, la municipalit\u00e9 veut, cette fois, inscrire la d\u00e9marche dans la dur\u00e9e gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la comp\u00e9tition et au suivi rigoureux des indicateurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les organisateurs appellent les associations de quartier, \u00e9tablissements scolaires et regroupements religieux \u00e0 se joindre \u00e0 l\u2019effort. \u00ab Chacun peut devenir ambassadeur de la salubrit\u00e9 \u00bb, insiste Jean-Baptiste Egueh. De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, BVP promet d\u2019accompagner la sensibilisation par des spots radio, des animations sur les march\u00e9s et des s\u00e9ances de formation sur le compostage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u2019ici le 9 ao\u00fbt, Abomey-Calavi saura si ses ambitions \u00e9galent celles de Cotonou. Mais, pour les autorit\u00e9s locales, le v\u00e9ritable enjeu d\u00e9passe le podium : il s\u2019agit de \u00ab faire de la propret\u00e9 un r\u00e9flexe quotidien \u00bb, r\u00e9sume la coordinatrice Kadirath-Lah Ahlin.
