S\u2019adressant \u00e0 plus de 400 \u00e9v\u00eaques et cardinaux r\u00e9unis mercredi 25 juin dans la basilique Saint-Pierre, il a exig\u00e9 des mesures fermes et une application rigoureuse de la l\u00e9gislation face aux d\u00e9rives, en particulier lorsqu\u2019il s\u2019agit de mineurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u2019est la deuxi\u00e8me fois en une semaine que le souverain pontife \u00e9voque publiquement ce sujet sensible, r\u00e9affirmant sa politique de \u00ab tol\u00e9rance z\u00e9ro \u00bb. Dans une lettre adress\u00e9e vendredi \u00e0 un journaliste p\u00e9ruvien ayant enqu\u00eat\u00e9 sur des cas d\u2019abus dans un mouvement religieux local, L\u00e9on XIV avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 appel\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019instauration de \u00ab processus transparents \u00bb. pour pr\u00e9venir tout abus, qu\u2019il soit sexuel, spirituel ou d\u2019autorit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au cours de son allocution, le pape a \u00e9galement abord\u00e9 la question du c\u00e9libat eccl\u00e9siastique, insistant sur la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 pour les pr\u00eatres et les \u00e9v\u00eaques de mener une vie chaste et exemplaire. \u00ab Il ne s\u2019agit pas seulement d\u2019\u00eatre c\u00e9libataire, mais de pratiquer la chastet\u00e9 du c\u0153ur et de la conduite \u00bb, a-t-il soulign\u00e9. Il a invit\u00e9 les responsables eccl\u00e9siastiques \u00e0 faire preuve de fermet\u00e9 et de d\u00e9termination face aux comportements susceptibles de cr\u00e9er le scandale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 l\u2019occasion de cette c\u00e9l\u00e9bration sp\u00e9ciale de l\u2019Ann\u00e9e sainte pour le clerg\u00e9, le Saint-P\u00e8re a appel\u00e9 les pr\u00e9lats \u00e0 \u00eatre des mod\u00e8les de puret\u00e9, de transparence et d\u2019int\u00e9grit\u00e9.
