Il est accus\u00e9 d\u2019avoir tenu des propos offensants \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9gard du pr\u00e9sident b\u00e9ninois, Patrice Talon, dans un contexte marqu\u00e9 par la fermeture prolong\u00e9e des fronti\u00e8res entre le B\u00e9nin et le Niger.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\nD\u2019apr\u00e8s les informations port\u00e9es \u00e0 la connaissance du tribunal, le pr\u00e9venu aurait diffus\u00e9 un message audio sur un forum WhatsApp pour exprimer son exasp\u00e9ration face aux restrictions de circulation entre les deux pays. Dans ce message, il aurait employ\u00e9 des termes jug\u00e9s injurieux envers le chef de l\u2019\u00c9tat b\u00e9ninois.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Suite \u00e0 la diffusion de cet enregistrement, l\u2019homme a \u00e9t\u00e9 arr\u00eat\u00e9 puis plac\u00e9 sous mandat de d\u00e9p\u00f4t. \u00c0 l\u2019audience, il a contest\u00e9 les accusations, affirmant qu\u2019il n\u2019avait aucune intention d\u2019insulter le pr\u00e9sident Talon. Selon lui, son message visait uniquement \u00e0 interpeller les autorit\u00e9s nig\u00e9riennes sur la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de rouvrir les fronti\u00e8res. Mari\u00e9 \u00e0 deux B\u00e9ninoises, le pr\u00e9venu a insist\u00e9 sur son attachement au B\u00e9nin et son respect envers les institutions du pays. L\u2019avocat du pr\u00e9venu a sollicit\u00e9 une remise en libert\u00e9 provisoire, arguant que le message controvers\u00e9 traduisait davantage un cri de d\u00e9tresse qu\u2019une insulte d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9e. Il a rappel\u00e9 que la situation frontali\u00e8re actuelle provoque de nombreuses frustrations parmi les citoyens des deux nations, qui partagent des liens historiques et familiaux \u00e9troits.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\nApr\u00e8s examen des arguments, le tribunal a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de renvoyer le dossier au 2 d\u00e9cembre 2025 pour la poursuite des d\u00e9bats et l\u2019\u00e9tude de la demande de mise en libert\u00e9 provisoire.
