L\u2019arm\u00e9e nig\u00e9riane nie toute responsabilit\u00e9 et attribue les tirs \u00e0 une milice locale, une version contest\u00e9e par les habitants.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le drame s\u2019est produit dans la commune de Lamurde, o\u00f9 un groupe de femmes avait \u00e9rig\u00e9 un barrage pour d\u00e9noncer l\u2019inaction des forces de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 face aux affrontements entre les communaut\u00e9s Bachama et Chobo. Selon plusieurs t\u00e9moins, les soldats auraient ouvert le feu apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 emp\u00each\u00e9s d\u2019emprunter la route. Amnesty International, s\u2019appuyant sur les r\u00e9cits des familles et des personnes pr\u00e9sentes, affirme que les tirs venaient bien des militaires. La ville \u00e9tait plac\u00e9e sous couvre-feu en raison d\u2019un diff\u00e9rend foncier r\u00e9current entre les deux ethnies. Les manifestantes reprochaient \u00e0 l\u2019arm\u00e9e de ne pas faire appliquer cette mesure ni de prot\u00e9ger les habitants contre la recrudescence des violences.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dans un communiqu\u00e9, l\u2019arm\u00e9e soutient que ses troupes n\u2019ont tir\u00e9 que sur une milice locale op\u00e9rant dans une autre partie de Lamurde, accusant cette derni\u00e8re d\u2019une \u00ab manipulation non professionnelle d\u2019armes automatiques \u00bb.
