Une poursuite judiciaire qui intervient dans un contexte de rupture diplomatique profonde entre le Niger et la France.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En annon\u00e7ant la contre-poursuite mercredi, le ministre nig\u00e9rien de la Justice, Alio Daouda a mis en cause la responsabilit\u00e9 environnementale d\u2019Orano, d\u00e9non\u00e7ant une \u00ab catastrophe \u00e9cologique au Niger \u00bb. Selon les autorit\u00e9s, l\u2019exploitation mini\u00e8re aurait entra\u00een\u00e9 la contamination de terres nig\u00e9riennes par des d\u00e9chets toxiques, notamment la pr\u00e9sence d\u2019environ 400 barils de d\u00e9chets radioactifs. \u00ab Le Niger a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d\u2019engager des poursuites judiciaires contre Orano devant les tribunaux nationaux et \u00e9trangers afin d\u2019obtenir une condamnation et des r\u00e9parations pour les dommages subis \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le ministre de la Justice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cette annonce marque un nouvel \u00e9pisode dans le bras de fer opposant le Niger et la France depuis le coup d\u2019\u00c9tat militaire de 2023. Apr\u00e8s leur prise de pouvoir, les autorit\u00e9s nig\u00e9riennes ont nationalis\u00e9 Somair, la principale filiale locale d\u2019Orano, d\u00e9tenue \u00e0 90 % par l\u2019\u00c9tat fran\u00e7ais. De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, Orano a d\u00e9j\u00e0 engag\u00e9 plusieurs proc\u00e9dures judiciaires contre l\u2019\u00c9tat nig\u00e9rien.
