Jug\u00e9 en appel pour des soup\u00e7ons de financement libyen de sa campagne pr\u00e9sidentielle de 2007, le proc\u00e8s fait suite \u00e0 la condamnation partielle de Sarkozy en premi\u00e8re instance implicant dix autres pr\u00e9venus dont Brice Hortefeux, Claude Gu\u00e9ant et Thierry Gaubert.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sarkozy est poursuivi pour \u00ab\u202fassociation de malfaiteurs\u202f\u00bb, \u00ab\u202frecel de d\u00e9tournement de fonds publics\u202f\u00bb, \u00ab\u202fcorruption passive\u202f\u00bb et \u00ab\u202ffinancement ill\u00e9gal de campagne\u202f\u00bb. Lors du premier proc\u00e8s, il avait \u00e9t\u00e9 relax\u00e9 pour plusieurs chefs d\u2019accusation mais condamn\u00e9 pour \u00ab\u202fassociation de malfaiteurs\u202f\u00bb, avec cinq ans de prison, 100\u202f000 euros d\u2019amende et cinq ans d\u2019in\u00e9ligibilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L\u2019affaire remonte \u00e0 2005. Claude Gu\u00e9ant et Brice Hortefeux se seraient rendus en Libye pour solliciter un soutien financier. Le tribunal estime que ces d\u00e9placements ont \u00e9t\u00e9 organis\u00e9s sous l\u2019autorit\u00e9 de Sarkozy. M\u00eame si aucun fonds libyen n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 officiellement retrouv\u00e9 sur ses comptes, le \u00ab\u00a0pacte de corruption\u00a0\u00bb pr\u00e9par\u00e9 \u00e0 cette fin a \u00e9t\u00e9 jug\u00e9 condamnable. Le proc\u00e8s examine \u00e9galement des transactions financi\u00e8res complexes et la vente de biens immobiliers, suspect\u00e9s de servir \u00e0 transf\u00e9rer des fonds libyens. Alexandre Djouhri et Ziad Takieddine, interm\u00e9diaires controvers\u00e9s, sont au centre de ces op\u00e9rations. L&rsquo;ancien chef d&rsquo;\u00c9tat fran\u00e7ais d\u00e9fend son innocence et renforce sa d\u00e9fense avec un troisi\u00e8me avocat.
