Trois fugitifs activement recherch\u00e9s par leurs pays respectifs ont \u00e9t\u00e9 interpell\u00e9s \u00e0 Cotonou entre le 13 et le 19 avril 2026, \u00e0 l\u2019issue d\u2019op\u00e9rations coordonn\u00e9es men\u00e9es par le BCN-INTERPOL Cotonou.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ces arrestations s\u2019inscrivent dans une strat\u00e9gie renforc\u00e9e visant \u00e0 emp\u00eacher le territoire b\u00e9ninois de servir de refuge aux criminels en fuite. Le 15 avril, un ressortissant nig\u00e9rian, recherch\u00e9 pour son implication pr\u00e9sum\u00e9e dans plusieurs assassinats \u00e0 Lagos entre 2023 et 2024, a \u00e9t\u00e9 arr\u00eat\u00e9 dans un h\u00f4tel de Cotonou o\u00f9 il se dissimulait depuis plusieurs semaines. Sa cavale avait \u00e9t\u00e9 largement m\u00e9diatis\u00e9e par les autorit\u00e9s nig\u00e9rianes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le m\u00eame jour, une seconde op\u00e9ration men\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019A\u00e9roport international Cardinal Bernardin Gantin a permis l\u2019interpellation d\u2019un individu recherch\u00e9 par les \u00c9tats-Unis dans une affaire d\u2019escroquerie d\u2019envergure. Selon les premi\u00e8res informations, le suspect venait d\u2019entrer sur le territoire b\u00e9ninois apr\u00e8s avoir quitt\u00e9 pr\u00e9cipitamment les \u00c9tats-Unis pour \u00e9chapper \u00e0 la justice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le 19 avril 2026, les forces de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 ont proc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 une troisi\u00e8me arrestation \u00e0 Cotonou. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un ressortissant fran\u00e7ais impliqu\u00e9 pr\u00e9sum\u00e9ment dans des activit\u00e9s li\u00e9es \u00e0 la criminalit\u00e9 transnationale organis\u00e9e. L\u2019homme utilisait plusieurs fausses identit\u00e9s pour contourner les contr\u00f4les. Une surveillance discr\u00e8te et prolong\u00e9e des services sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s a permis de\u00a0le localiser et de mettre fin \u00e0 sa fuite.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00c0 l\u2019issue de son interpellation, le suspect nig\u00e9rian a \u00e9t\u00e9 remis aux autorit\u00e9s de son pays, conform\u00e9ment aux m\u00e9canismes de coop\u00e9ration polici\u00e8re de la CEDEAO.
