Ancien haut cadre de l\u2019administration douani\u00e8re, il laisse derri\u00e8re lui le souvenir d\u2019un parcours marqu\u00e9 par plusieurs responsabilit\u00e9s au sein du service public.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nLe colonel des douanes \u00e0 la retraite Christophe Gnimavo est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 ce jeudi 18 juin 2026, selon des informations recueillies par L\u2019Investigateur. Il aurait succomb\u00e9 \u00e0 une longue maladie apr\u00e8s plusieurs mois de lutte contre la maladie. Ancien cadre de l\u2019administration b\u00e9ninoise, le d\u00e9funt a occup\u00e9 plusieurs fonctions au sein de la douane. L\u2019un de ses postes les plus remarqu\u00e9s fut celui de receveur \u00e0 Hillacondji, poste frontalier strat\u00e9gique entre le B\u00e9nin et le Togo. Sur le plan politique, Christophe Gnimavo a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 actif. Il fut membre fondateur du Bloc R\u00e9publicain (BR) et conseiller communal \u00e0 la mairie d\u2019Abomey. Il a par la suite rejoint l\u2019Union Progressiste le Renouveau (UP-R). Sous le r\u00e9gime de l\u2019ancien pr\u00e9sident Boni Yayi, il avait \u00e9galement milit\u00e9 au sein du Front r\u00e9publicain pour une alternative patriotique (FRAP), devenu plus tard le Front r\u00e9publicain du B\u00e9nin (FRB), dirig\u00e9 par feu Marcel de Souza.
