Il change le nom du pays en \u00abR\u00e9publique du Za\u00efre\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le Mar\u00e9chal Mobutu incite alors ses compatriotes \u00e0 l&rsquo;abandon de tout ce qui rappelle le colon notamment les pr\u00e9noms chr\u00e9tiens et occidentaux et adopte \u00e0 titre d&rsquo;exemple un nom d&rsquo;origine africaine et locale : Mobutu Sese Seko Kuku Ngbendu Wa Za Banga (Mobutu le guerrier qui va de victoire en victoire sans que personne ne puisse l&rsquo;arr\u00eater, ndlr). Il rebaptise, de m\u00eame, les villes du pays avec la capitale L\u00e9opoldville qui devint Kinshasa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le Guide Mobutu n&rsquo;a plus de limite ! Dans la m\u00eame veine, il oblige l&rsquo;\u00e9lite za\u00efroise \u00e0 abandonner les costumes occidentaux au profit d&rsquo;une nouvelle tenue avec une touche za\u00efroise.
